Boost SSD External Drive
My digital discount is a technology company based out of Oswego, New York. The Boost is a portable SSD drive external hard drive. The stock photography was taken at the studio and then edited to become promotional and advertising material for the company.
Problem
My digital discount released the boost portable SSD drive product called the Boost. They needed a edited product image of the Boost to put on their social media and website. It was important that image be photographed to appear as if a customer was using the product.
Audience
The primary audience of the Boost SSD drive are customers who need to backup a large amount of data, computer technicians, and hardware specialists. Including a product image of the Boost being realistically used shows customers a real life scenario in which the product work and performs successfully.
Process
I began by photographing 100+ photographs to create a successful shot of the product in use. After photographing, I began to narrow down the selection of photos and chose to edit the image below. Throughout this process, I used the healing brush tool to remove dirt and glares on the image. This helps create a crisper image and makes the product look new and enticing to customers. I also used masks in order to concentrate on one area of the photograph at a time. Using the mask tool helped to divide and fixate on specific areas of the photograph at a time. Once the final edited image was complete, it was then turned into a advertisement to be shown on their social media, my digital discount website, and other technology shops and websites to help promote the product.
